Huts

Huts is a dance piece that treats – or filters – the presence and absence of sound through the body. The gestures and the language that the body articulates are a reflection of sound and silence. Movement becomes word; word, sign; sign, movement… An impossible hearing, inscribed in a silent and silenced orality. Every sound implies movement; it is never a mute translation. The de cons truc tion of s gn l nguage and of lang age, both oral and aural, is alw ys b dily.
