The Sound of Underwater Friction Produced by Movement

This recording was made with a special hydrophone designed to listen to the echolocation of dolphins. Obviously, these animal communications are masked by the sound of friction, and I personally found this sound very interesting. Scientists hate it because it interferes with listening to the dolphins, and a special filter was built to avoid it.

Can we perhaps think of this sound as an endangered sound?

In addition, this sound is created by velocity, and therefore it is not yet possible to upload it to a soundmap, much as happens with soundwalks, for example. It’s just not possible. I prefer to experiment with this limitation rather than hide it. If a soundmap allowed two markers for a single sound, we could perhaps calculate the velocity of the bodies. And the title of the piece would be so different!
